Saving Money on Cheap Flights To Nairobi Kenya in 2010

Posted by Administrator on January 9, 2010

While going to Nairobi, something that we all are major concerned about is to book cheap flights to Kenya.

Although Kenyan airways is the direct as well as flagship carrier of the country, but due to its alliance with KLM and Air France, the availability at this most demanded carrier is very short most of the time. However, if reserving almost 6 months ahead of your departure, you may get lucky to have your hands on any of the good deals.

Although Kenya, may not look like a prominent holiday destination in comparison to South Africa or Far East, but still the Mombassa beach and specialized African Safaris attract a large number of tourists every year. That, also makes it a busy destination for Kenyan Nationals living or studying in foreign countries. The cheapest selling airlines for Nairobi or Mombassa are Swiss Air, Turkish Airways, Air France, KLM and Air Brussels. The 5 and 4 star carriers, Virgin, British Airways and Qatar also have cheap fares to Nairobi , at a difference of about 20 to 30 pounds from each other. The competition is absolutely tough, mainly because of the recession in 2009 almost all airlines are at a verge of going bankrupt and facing huge losses.

In these times when the “after effects” of recession are still high, here is a view of the whole year and months where you can save some money on your cheap flights to Kenya in 2010.

January 2010:
Flights to Nairobi Kenya in January 2010 are likely to remain up until the 18 January, as the school holidays are extended due to bad weather.

February 2010 – March 2010:
Cheap flights to Nairobi will be selling at lowest rates during this time of the year. If you had been saving your annual leave, it’s the best tome to make use of it. Beginning of March will remain low too.

April 2010 – May 2010
The availability will be the shortest during these months due to Easter Holidays and that will increase the prices. Hence, early purchase is the ultimate way to save some bucks on your flight.

June 2010 – July 2010
Late May and Early June will not be that high. However July may beat December and higher prices than last year will be at the shelf!

August 2010 – September 2010
August, September, will be linking the returns of July Flights, so …yes you guessed it right …Expensive! (if not reserved timely)

October 2010 – November 2010
October is low season and so is early November. Dates will be easily available and prices will be negotiable.

December 2010 – January 2011
If you have tried your luck on December Fights last year, you may know already that December is very busy. The best time to reserve your flights for December is Actually July, and similar applies to July. Last Minute reservations are risky as there may be huge schedules changes, cancellations like last year (2009). So better also get your flight insurance.
