“If only I knew what was in store for me here, in this crazy place, this place that so many people admire, this place they all want to come to (…) a place where we, Africans, are considered as good for nothing, slaves who are made to eat human excrement and drink their urine. Some find it normal that sick people, perverts, rich people… use their money and influence to gravely abuse other humans.
They say that we are adults and therefore consenting, but this is not true because no one asked for my consent before throwing me into this hell hole. I was forced and threatened… and if we are adults, what about the kids who find themselves in this milieu? Those people pay a lot to abuse the youngest ones. Poor people do not pay such ludicrous amounts of money for such things, simply because all their money will still not be enough to buy these…
“I am not afraid anymore”

My troubles began in Lagos. I came across an internet announcement, which said that a businessman was looking for women who wanted to get married for his dating agency. There were photos and stories of happy and successful marriages. Apart from the internet announcement, I also answered to announcements posted in these magazines that we find everywhere now. It all went very fast. The man contacted me and we started communicating via the Internet. He promised me things that no woman would refuse. A dream. In a matter of three months, I had every single paper needed to leave for London. He also gave me the names of persons I had to meet and everything went well. I also had to go to Benin City (a city in Nigeria, ndlr) to collect a small parcel for him. I was a bit taken aback when I realized that the little parcel he was talking about were three young boys between the ages of eight and twelve. Their passports and visas were ready. Everything was ok. I went to see a guy called “wizard” for instructions.
Our trip took us through Ghana where someone provided us with Liberian passports with which we traveled to London. This was to help us obtain refugee status with ease. We left after spending three days in a shantytown in Accra where we were hidden to “avoid being spotted by jealous people who were not as lucky as us!” hmmm… The youngest boy was gripped by fear. He cried a lot, his whole body shook and could not utter a word. His only refuge were my arms and the only moment he left my arms was to allow me to go to the bathroom…
Defenseless children
At the airport, my fiancé and the person who was to collect the children were waiting. The separation was very painful. A lot of force was needed to tear the little boy from me. I never heard of those children again. I followed this man whom I knew nothing about apart from the fact that he called himself “Bryan”. We barely got to his house when the nightmare began. First of all, he wanted us to do it right away. But I told him that I needed some time as it is not too easy to open up to someone I did not know, just like that. But his violent grip made me give in immediately. My first hours on the English soil were marked with rape and violence on somebody’s living room floor. He took a rest, drank whiskey and came back to do those horrible and painful things that I didn’t even know existed, again and again. I thought I was going to die.
I was forced to do what he wanted, I knew only him and he had kept all my papers. After sexually abusing me, he asked me to watch films in which girls were having sex with animals. He said to study what the girls were doing because I was going to do the same soon. He said that my arrival had cost him a lot of money and I was going to have to pay him back. He also said that because he is a very nice man, he would find good business and film contracts and split the money between the two of us. He gave me a little something to give me courage, but not to worry because there was a lot of money to be made. Lots of money. That little something to give me courage was, in fact, drugs. This is how, three weeks after my arrival in England, I became a bestial porn star addicted to drugs and traveling through european capitals; Amsterdam, Berlin, Paris and London, my residence.

One day, to spice up the scenes, the producer’s wife went and fetched puppies to suck my breasts. It was very painful because they sucked violently as there was no milk. My family lives well and I live with aids
I have to confess that I made a lot of money. I had a house built back home and my family lives well. I pay the school fees for the young ones and I am respected and adored. My family is very proud of me because they know nothing about what I do. Out of greed, I worked more to get more money, which also meant more drugs and alcohol. Sometimes Bryan rented me out to a friend of his in the south of France, because in summer, the arrival of a number of yachts and celebrities at the côte d’azur means a big market for prostitutes and drug dealers. There are all night long orgies and they pay a lot. It is a change from the usual work and brings in a lot of money.
I think that is where I was infected with aids… and because I did not have regular medical check ups the disease was discovered too late. I was abandoned on the beaches of Saint Tropez. Bryan disappeared and changed his address. A prostitute from Poland came to my aid but since she was not able to cater for my drug needs as well as all she was doing for me, she introduced me to an African girl who was also involved in the same line of work, who introduced me to an association that takes care of African women with aids…
My disease is in its terminal stage. I won’t live past thirty. My body is covered with leeches, I am a drug addict, anorexic, alcoholic… I still work as a prostitute, but I am careful not to put my clients, who know nothing about my situation, at risk. I do it to help me buy drugs and alcohol. I take those things to speed things up, you know, my death. The images torture me and it is like a poison killing me in small doses. It is the worst kind of death. I regret so much for coming to Europe. Back home, I would be healthy, married and by now a mother…”

Anyway what most pple forget is that one day whether here on earth or there after you will answer for your actions whether you like it or not you will answer that is a fact. This is very unfortunate for Lolita and for all the other people trafficked across the world. I can barely imagine the fate of the small boys who were left at the airport, what plight they must have gone through, were they kidnapped from their homes; did their parents or guardians sell them off? Child trafficking and slavery should not be seen with one eye shut.
Women from Africa and other underdeveloped parts of the world should not look for shortcuts for success or for a comfortable life…in most cases the risk of living a miserable life is too high!!! I wish for my African brothers and sisters to get an education, get skills that can sustain your survival and in turn develop ourselves and our continent instead of running away from it.
I do not wish to persecute Lolita any further than she has already been, but I feel that between collecting the children and getting fake passports that could have been a red light for her and a chance to escape all this misfortune; then again either naivety and ignorance or even ambition got the better of her.
I am glad she came forward with her life story and I hope it spreads even further.

But all been said and happened, I think Lolita needs to give her life to Jesus and stop the prostitution and instead create awareness for other young women not to fall in the same trap. Lolita’s Case is such one in a million scenarios how women are perceived in some societies. I wish the whole world could read this piece of information. If she only had a choice and if she only knew what had been awaiting her in Europe she couldn’t have accepted to travel. This is really an insight into the Horrible life our young women go through after falling to hoax promises. What happened to our moral, our integrity, our dignity. What Happened to those two little innocent children. I wouldn’t want to imagine the same happened to them. Her story is very similar to sara bartmann’s story although we may excuse sara’s because I have a feeling she was forcefully moved to dutchland( this was during the slave trade period). However, for lolita she handed herself to her tormentors (lets not forget she too had her misgivings). Am very disgusted at the things she got exposed to, they are inhuman to say the least, but she had enough time to quit. After her ordeal on the first day she arrived at her hubby’s place she should have reported the matter to her embassy or even to the police but she opted to fight. I genuinely know that bad things happen to those people who offer them chance. I really pity her but also let her story & sara’s too to be a living example of the choices we make. let not poverty & helplessness push you to sin and expect pity just because of your background.

I am positive and i’ve been since child hood. Of course i wouldn’t dream of infecting anyone intentionally. But the people commenting, please keep in mind that HIV positive people are still human and experience all the feelings you experience. HIV doesn’t kill those feelings. So be sensitive as you comment. Plus, so many people do not know their status and yet are practicing sex and are knowingly or unknowingly on sexual networks. For those saying, she had opportunities to run or go to police:
its not a smooth journey adjusting to a new land and culture, even if you are there legally. You struggle a bit. So for Lolita, it probably wasn’t that easy and obvious for someone to man up and go to the police when they are in a strange land and are even illegal. Plus, remember she had been abused, intimidated and possibly threatened.
Besides, open your eyes and see what is going on back home. How many people are being abused by fellow Africans but they are too afraid or timid to go to the police. How many cases of abuse are not reported? Early child marriages and all…. It starts from home. Why are you surprised if she acts the same while there?
This also says something about how we bring up our children in Africa and equip them to adjust to the demands of the world and the challenges there in. I teach children and sometimes the level of timidity and lack of confidence in them is very disheartening yet they access the internet and are on Facebook. They are in primary and i’m afraid for them when they go to secondary. But we make efforts to equip them.
We have a lot to teach our children as far as seeking for help is concerned, being assertive, making choices, purpose and respect of different authority, coz many people fear to report to the police, and lots of other things. We need to equip our children so that they can be well adjusted in society.
To those saying, quit the drugs, drinking and prostitution:
Keep in mind that it doesn’t happen over night. Its a gradual process. It needs patience, hard work, perseverance and support. So pray for her. Unless of course you have never been addicted to something or got caught in a vicious cycle of a bad habit then tried to break out of it.
Those wondering what could have happened to the boys,
The same could have happened to them plus being introduced to homosexuality, being sold to rich men and women for sex sessions and they would probably be spared acting as pron starts coz of the fear to be caught using minors in such. If the story is true, they need prayers too.
Those crucifying African women, please keep in mind that men fall prey to such things too. they appear in porn movies as well. It just happens that this is a woman’s story. men are not telling their story yet. Plus what do you suppose happened to the boys?
As for people who watch porn movies; Think about the source of your entertainment. Its most likely going to be a poor girl or boy who has been fooled, abused and forced into that lifestyle. This should be repulsive enough for you to think twice as you watch. Don’t give these people market. I don’t think anyone would willingly choose to live their lifestyle as a pron star.
To those saying, come home. That is good but coming home from the diaspora isn’t always easy either. I lived in England for a year and had to come back at the end of it, but it wasn’t a smooth ride. There is a lot of pressure and expectations from home. Sometimes after staying out for long, you come back and struggle adjusting and fitting in. Some fail and go back. So many people are living in England and would like to come home but its not that simple. Its also like getting caught in a cycle.
I wouldn’t go straight to my family in her situation. I would find an organization that can help. stay there, get adjusted, heal about and prepare to shock absorb the reactions i would get from my family members. Keep in mind that many dysfunctional families exist.
Lastly, the story may or may not be true but we know these things happen, have happened and and are still happening. That is just the hard reality. So spread the word out so that as many people as possible don’t fall pray.

Sad, really sad.This brings a couple things to light. 1st , the Parents, guardians or family members should be educated that going abroad abroad does not necessary spell wealth nor is it a financial break through. So sorry Lolita. No human being should undergo what you have been made to undergo. I feel for you my sister Lolita. I know it’s hard, but start by forgiving all those people who made you go through those inhuman things. Second ask the Lord to forgive you for all the wrongs you may have done, then ask Him to have mercy on you, that He may save you so you may not go to hell. Jesus is faithful He will forgive, save, redeem and transform you to use you to help others that they may not go through the same route of torture. Trust Him and He will do all I have said for His own glory.

@ Dennis Said, the story is awake call to all parents and their kids abroad. The above story is one of many. Recently we have started seeing stories from Dubai, and middle east. Truly and honestly I speak from reality for I have relatives that are in deep s****t but will not go home for they have have been threatened not to. They are bieng blamed to be lazy but the situations I’m talking about is grave though not prostitution. It feels like imprisonment for them for they have reached the point of no return , they have been warned to not come back and it’s expected of them to continue finacing the beneficiaries on that end. This have left them in a deplorable state of hopelessness, low self estemm and they really have lost their purposes in life. Is this what parents want? or rather the best question to pose to beneficiaries back home is ” Were kids born as future investments or cash cows” or future sacrificial lambs for their upkeep?
