Fellow Brethren,

We are sorrowful as we bring to you very sad news of sudden death.  Ms. Joyce Atieno “Nyamzee” Okello passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2011.  While her family anticipated the start of a “Happy New Year” this never came true since “Nyamzee” passed away peacefully in her sleep in Dallas, TX.

She leaves behind her dear children, Nick Adams Turey and Jackie Achieng Ougo, and her grandchildren of Arlington, Texas.  She was a mother-in- law to Mercy Arunga Toure. Joyce was a loving aunt to the Dale’s, Otondi’s, Ogweno’s, Osodo’s, Otieno’s, Okello’s, Ocholla’s, Bryan Yongo and Elisha Odhiambo among others.  She was sister to Hon. Sam Okello (Mayor of Kisumu City) among others.

CELEBRATION OF THE LATE MS. JOYCE “NYAMZEE” OKELLO’S LIFE

The memorial service will be held at All Nations SDA Church, 3618 Roosevelt Drive, Arlington TX 76016 on Sunday, January 8, 2012 at 3PM.

Prayers and funeral arrangements are held daily (7pm) at her son’s residence: 906 Cattail Drive, Arlington, TX 76001.

Joyce “Nyamzee” was a fun loving, generous and compassionate human being.  She was a mother and friend to many in the diaspora and in Kenya. Please continue to lift her loved ones in prayer during this difficult time.  The Organizing Committee forecasts an overwhelming funeral situation coupled with heavy financial obligations including: Funeral Home expenses, shipment of her body to Kenya, family’s flight to and from Kenya, hospitality, burial and other funeral related expenses.

Benson left behind his Wife Janet Wamaitha and a daughter Irene Wanjiku. We are saddened to announce the saddening death of our beloved brother Kevin Nelson Shiramba, who died in a fatal car crash  on Sunday morning 11/27/2011.

Kevin was pronounced dead at 8.17am shortly after arriving at the Harrison Methodist Hospital in Euless, Texas due to  severe head and trauma injuries.

He was a student at Collin county college,and a twin brother to Denis Shiramba,a brother to Claris Shiramba and Sarah Atuulo.

We will miss his humor and jovial personality.May the almighty God rest his soul and may he rest in peace.

The family and friends are holding a fundraising for his burial and transportation arrangements,any contributions will be truly appreciated and may God help you help us in this time of need, the details are as follows.

He was husband to Janne Makokha, father to Luke Makokha. Friends and family are meeting at 6pm at his home at 4507 W Pioneer dr apt 913, Irving TX. The gate code 1313#.

We regret to announce the sudden passing of Ms. Alice Wanjiru Njoroge (Alice Hoodye) of HoustonTX USA which occured on Thursday November 10th 2011. She was born in Kenya onOctober 10th 1980 and passed away in her residence on November 10th 2011 at the age of 31.

She was healthy, successful business owner of Al Global Exports. She was found dead on her bed on Thursday evening by her brother in law. She lived in Houston for 12yrs. The family still awaits results from the medical examiner on the cause of her death.

She was the loving daughter of Mr David Kiando Njoroge & Mrs Rosemary Njeri Njoroge of Molo, Kenya and loving niece of Mr Peter Ngige Wanguri, Mr Martin Githoro, Dr Caroline Mbogua and Jane Githoro all of Houston, TX.

She was loving sister to Joseph Kiando, Francis Wainaina, late Peter Ngige,

Kevin Mbugua, Virginia Wajiku and Margaret Wambui.

The 3rd prayers and funeral arrangements meeting will be held at 10021 South Main Suite B3, Houston, TX 77025 on Thursday November 17th 2011 at 7pm.

There will be a fundraising and a memorial service tentatively on November 26th and 27th (dates to be confirmed). Fundraising is to help the family offset the cost of sending Alice back to Kenya.

The Sesi family wishes to announce the passing on of Rev. Dr Stephen Mutuku Sesi of Africa International University (formerly NEGST), which occurred in Houston, Texas (USA) on the 3rd of November 2011 after a bravely borne battle with a cancer aliment.
The late Dr. Sesi was husband to Dr. Josephine Katile Mutuku of Africa International University. He was father to James (Daystar University), Judah and Jesse of USIU. Son to Mr. Joseph Ndome Sesi and Mrs. Anne Ndome of Makobe, Shimba Hills. Son-in-law to Mr. & Mrs. Paul Muunde of Nzeveni, Mbooni, Makueni. Brother to Joyce Simba, Patricia Nguku, Naomi, Benson Nyamasyo, Ruth Musyoki and Sarah Mulwa.

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the sudden death of Peter Mwangi Gacheru  after only one month here in the USA.

Peter was the seventh  child of Mr. Simon Gacheru Mukangu(deceased) and Mrs Teresa Wanjeri Gacheru of Kagongo village, Mathioya;

Muranga was a brother to Margaret Wangui Munga of Nyagatugu; Muranga, Mary Muthoni Kamotho of Raleigh, North Carolina, Ignatius Mukangu Gacheru of Kagongo; Muranga, Cecilia Wacheke Muchiri of Muranga; Lucy Nyaikamba Gacheru of Kerugoya, Francis Mutoa Gacheru of Nairobi, Agnes Kirigo Gacheru and Augustine Kabugu Gacheru both of Nairobi Kenya.

As we try to come to terms with this loss, we are strengthened spiritually knowing that God gives and God takes away. Thank you again for your support both in prayer and in kind.
 
The budget to cater for funeral expenses here in the US and transporting the body to Kenya is projected at $15,000. We are pleading with you to help us meet this expense and send Peter home.

It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden death of David Kedi Jacca which happened in Nairobi, Kenya on September 4th after a short illness. David was born in Nairobi,  Kenya and travelled to USA (Atlanta) in 1994. He later relocated to Oklahoma in 2009.

David leaves behind his Parents Charles Jacca, Elizabeth Jacca, siblings Irene Jacca, Samson Jacca, Michael Jacca, and Andrew Jacca.
